We're reopening for summer with heaps of new developments!

Posted on 19 November, 2021 by Adventure Park Team

We're re-opening for the summer season on 27 November 2021 with several exciting new features and expansions in store!

New rides, nine new cabanas, new family change amenities and a new tube conveyor for the Tsunami/Tornado waterslides are coming to the park for summer 2021.

Managing Director Leanne Salmon said she was particularly excited about opening the tube conveyor this year because of the significant impact it would have on visitors’ ride experience.

“We know how much our guests have wanted a tube conveyor and we’re excited to have completed this development in our big waterslide precinct that’s been in planning for the past couple of years.

The tubes for the massive Tsunami and Tornado waterslides will be carried up to the top of the tower via a conveyor belt, making it more accessible for younger riders to participate.

New rides for the season include the classic family Tea Cups ride that is super popular around the world for its spinning and kaleidoscopic tea cups (opening Nov 2021).

Plus a unique Air Balloons ride which sees riders soar 18m into the sky for an epic view of the park before floating back down to earth (coming in 2022).

Nine brand new two-storey deluxe Treetop Cabanas will be available for hire in peak summer season; each featuring an enviable roof top deck, TV, fridge and dining voucher for the ultimate VIP package, located at the Tsunami/Tornado waterslides with 360 degree views overlooking the park.

New amenities include family change rooms, unisex and accessible toilets and new lockers of differing sizes.

The Park has also expanded its Christmas Festival of Lights with another 700,000 lights over an extended lights trail, having built a new 500m boardwalk around the western end of the 16 acre lake. Plus the addition of the new undercover Lunar Lanterns Exhibit which has beautiful oriental lanterns, a 20m long dragon and animals from the lunar zodiac on display.

“It’s bigger and better than ever in 2021” said Managing Director Leanne Salmon.

“It’s been a challenging couple of years with COVID, but we’ve gotten through it with a great team of staff who have made it all happen despite the circumstances” she said.

This season, as per the Victorian Government’s COVID requirement for attraction venues, visitors age 12 years 2 months and over will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination verification upon entry.
