Victorian Tourism Awards GOLD WINNERS!

Adventure Park, Victoria’s most epic water theme park, has won GOLD for the best tourist attraction in the state at the 2019 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday night.

The Park’s owners and staff were over the moon with the result that saw them ¬defeat Kryal Castle (Silver), Cactus Country (Bronze), Alowyn Gardens and Gumbuya World (finalists).

“This award represents all the hard work that our family and our amazing staff have put in over the years, and it’s only up and up from here.” Said Carla Salmon, Adventure Park Managing Director.

“With the completion of our massive new waterslide The Tsunami and the launch of our new Christmas Festival of Lights in 2019, this will be our biggest year yet.”

Winners and Finalists of the Victorian Tourism Awards are determined by achieving a score of 75% or above for their submission, and the winner is the highest scoring entrant in each category.

The Park was one of five organisations from across the Geelong and Bellarine region who collected a swag of awards, including five gold trophies as the best in the state in their respective categories. The winners from Geelong were:

• Tourist Attractions – Adventure Park
• Tourism Education and Training – Tourism Greater Geelong and The Bellarine
• Visitor Information Services – Tourism Greater Geelong and The Bellarine
• Business Event Venues – Geelong Cats – Higher Mark
• Deluxe Accommodation – Novotel Geelong

Geelong Revival Motoring Festival collected bronze in the Festivals and Events category.
