TORNADO Grand Opening

Adventure Park is excited to announce that the much anticipated epic family water slide and only one of its kind in Melbourne and Victoria, The TORNADO, will open on 11 November 2017.

“This mega fast and furious family funnel water ride is like nothing you've ever seen in Victoria.” Adventure Park Managing Directors Leanne and Carla Salmon said of the ride.

The Tornado is Victoria’s biggest and longest Proslide Tornado waterslide; starting 24m up, riders will twist and turn their way around 205m of tight loops before plunging 7.5 storeys into the eye of the Tornado funnel. 

"Riders will experience moments of zero gravity weightlessness and intense swings, getting nearly vertical on the massive funnel walls” they said.

The new Tornado is part of an $8 million water park expansion which will include hundreds of new sun lounges and cabanas, and another new feature water slide to be built for 2018/19 season.

“Our goal was always to bring Victoria another landmark, cutting edge water ride. We scoured the globe across three continents and are confident that we have chosen the world’s best waterslide ride. We know our guests will love it!” Salmon said.

Grand Opening Weekend

To celebrate this massive occasion, Adventure Park will host a Grand Opening Weekend event 10am-5pm 11-12 November 2017!

Join us to be one of the first to ride Victoria's biggest and longest water slide, and to kick off summer early with a host of family friendly activities, including kids' face painting, appearances from Bonito the Pirate, the Streets Paddle Pop Lion and The Fox Hit Squad will be here and more.

Plus, the first 200 people through the ticket gates on Saturday will get a free Streets 'Gaytime Sanga', yuuum!
